The participants welcomed progress on humanitarian issues, including child rights in conflict zones and prisoner exchanges between Russia and Ukraine, and emphasized ongoing cooperation. They urged relevant parties to fully restore the Black Sea grain deal and called on the UN to release 200,000 tons of Russian fertilizer stuck in EU ports for free delivery to African nations. The delegation reaffirmed support for the African-proposed peace plan aimed at ending the Russia-Ukraine conflict through dialogue and de-escalation. This follows the African envoys’ visits to both Ukraine and Russia in June and their renewed mediation efforts during the second Russia-Africa summit on July 27–28.
