Recently, the expert consultation meeting on the preliminary results of the "Research on the Planning and Layout of Inland Waterways and Ports in Liaoning Province," led by CCCC Waterborne Transport Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd., was held in Shenyang. The attending representatives and experts unanimously agreed that the layout planning is comprehensive, highlighted key points, and met the requirements of the preliminary research outcomes.

Liaoning Province's inland waterways are an important part of the Northeast region's inland water transport system and a key element in constructing the Northeast Sea-Land Corridor and improving the regional comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network. The research closely aligns with the overall deployment of building a strong transportation country and has completed the top-level design for the medium- and long-term development of inland water transport in Liaoning Province from a macro perspective. In the next step, CCCC Waterborne Transport Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd. will further advance a series of in-depth research tasks to provide solid planning and technical support for the early resumption of inland waterway navigation in Liaoning and the construction of a green water transport corridor in the Liaohe River Basin.
